The Bought Round / the super stake
a doubled stake for a doubled chance

The super stake: double the price, double the chance

A super stake multiplies the stake of every spin by a round figure and claims the same multiple of the chance to reach the feature. It is the tidiest of the four controls, because when the two multiples match the cost of reaching the feature does not move at all. What moves is the size of every bet and the size of the swings around it.

ante bet+25% per spinRaises the price of every spin a little and the stated chance of reaching the feature a lot. It makes a non-triggering spin dearer and can make the route to the feature cheaper.
super stake2x per spinDoubles the stake for roughly double the quoted chance. It changes the size of the bet and the variance, not the expected cost of reaching the feature.

four controls, one thing in common: each changes what a round costs, and none changes what it can return beyond the game's own mathematics.
Direct answer

A super stake multiplies the stake of every spin - 2x across 240 invented rounds - and claims the same multiple of the chance of reaching the feature. When the two multiples match, the expected cost of reaching the feature is unchanged, because half as many spins at twice the price cost the same. It changes the size of each bet and the variance, not the price of the feature.

Why a matched multiplier changes nothing in expectation the base route 100 spins x 1.00 = 100.00 to reach a feature once the super stake at 2x, with 2x the chance 50 spins x 2.00 = 100.00 to reach a feature once the same 100.00 either way so the super stake is not cheaper or dearer in expectation what it does change: every bet is twice the size every losing run is twice as deep the time to reach a feature is half as long the number of decisions is half as many if the chance multiple is less than the stake multiple, the super stake is worse than no control at all

The trap in a mismatched multiple

The super stake is fair only while the two multiples match. If a game doubles the stake and raises the chance by less than double - say by half again - the route to a feature costs more, not the same. That is why the check is always the same question, in this order: what is the multiple on the stake, and what is the multiple on the chance? If the stake multiple is the larger of the two, the control is a tax on impatience. If they are equal, it is a variance choice. This desk cannot tell a reader which it is for a named game, because the stated chance is the game own figure; it can only show what each case is worth.

A matched and an unmatched super stake matched: 2x stake, 2x chance 50 spins x 2.00 = 100.00 -> the base cost verdict: a size choice, not a price choice unmatched: 2x stake, 1.5x chance 66.7 spins x 2.00 = 133.33 -> 33.33 dearer verdict: the extra 33.33 is the cost of reaching the feature faster
than the chance actually improves to pay for it
Reading a super stake
  • Find the stake multiple first - it is charged on every spin.
  • Find the chance multiple the game quotes.
  • If the stake multiple is larger, the control costs more in expectation.
  • If the two are equal, the control is a variance and bankroll choice.
  • Check the maximum win: a doubled stake can change how the cap is reached.
This desk prints invented multiples and assumes the quoted chance holds. It names no real game or studio and gives no advice on stake sizing; a doubled stake doubles the money at risk on every spin, and no figure here observes a live game.
